hello together,
please excuse the bad english but i made my question with a translator because my english is not very good.
I have a question about the scene change in time with the music.
currently i use windows 11, vdj 2021 (8.5) with qlc 4.12.6.
VDJ is connected to QLC+ via OS2L protocol (127.0.0.1:9996).
In QLC I have created an input profile for VDJ as in the instructions here in the forum about the channel 8342 is also the signal about the beat of VDJ displayed and the joystick looks in time.
In the virtual console I have created a cue list with a chaser with various scenes.
The manual switching of the scenes e.g. over the key A works without problems but the over the beat not.
What am I doing wrong or what setting do I have to make so that the scene change takes place in time ?
I would be very grateful for any advice!
Greets you

HI,
thanks for the answers !
I will make some screenshoots, which settings I have already made, I think it is easier than describing everything.
I hope the pictures are reasonably good to see,
The settings I have made so far :
the beat is also indicated by the flashing joystick.
the beat is not executed in the cue list
thanks for the answers !

Please use different universes for inputs and output.
And if the joystick is wiggling on the signal? Why doesn't the chaser proceed?
I think that there is 'a' signal coming in, but not the beat on OSL 8342.
Please verify

Hi,
Thanks for the advice, I did it as you described, on Universe1 the DMX controller is selected on the output, on Universe 2 the OS2L plugin with the profile for VDJ is selected on the input.
I see how the joystick flashes in time with the music depending on the speed. So it should be like in the description also, on port 8342.
I wonder if this is the real port for the beat ???.
As I have also read here in the forum this problem seems to have never been solved, at least I have not found a proper answer.
So the question is this a problem of QLC+ or VDJ ?
I think I am not the only one who has this "problem".
Greetings

If you would mimick creating an input profile, you could use the automatic mode (the wizard wand) and the signal will be revealed to you.

Hi,
I did it as described in the tutorial, the beat signal is also displayed to me when running the wizard, on port 8342, the joystick also flashes in time with the music.
So the signal from VDj arrives in the Qlc, but why is it not used in the cue execution.
Do I need any additional software ?

No, then you have to bind that input signal to a function on your VC.

Hi,
I would like to make a little video how I set the settings at the qlc, many times I miss something there.
Do you mind if it is in German ?
Greetings

Hello,
I already have a solution to my problem but an alternative is always good to know.
I have connected the beat to the next Que point, but what is a "speed dial tap point" sorry for the question.
Can you make me some screenshots where i can find that ?

Clausi,
When you wanted to use the beat input on multiple VC widgets, we would have used the speed dial widget.
The Speed Dial widget has a tap button. When you tap it, the tempo is set.
You can bind multiple QLC+ features to this tempo...

Hello prophy17,
now I did as you suggested, after a few failed tests it worked, I must say that I watched a video on Youtube to see what it's all about.
Now it works !!!
I think it will not remain with the one question .....
Thanks again for the super support from GGGss !!!!

That Clausi now is able to (also) use the tap button of the Speed Dial widget...
I helped him during a session in remote screen-share control.
