How to run lights with midi

Newbie here, I'm just starting to program lights and I have tested QLC+ for couple of days now. I'm a solo performer with backing tracks, and I want to program my lights using midi sent from my DAW to QLC+, but I think some of these functions would also be handy for busking/theaters. I don't want to use the Shows inside QLC+, I want to begin by setting up couple of midi commands/loops inside my DAW and build up from that. I have some things in my mind I want to do but haven't found a solution.

Button that can only toggle on a scene
Is it possible to make a button to Virtual Console, that is only able to toggle a scene on, but not off? If a have song that uses "red scene" so I have a midi note in the beginning of the song mapped to it, and after that if decide to go to another song that also uses "red scene", the lights are just going to blackout because of the toggle on/off function. Do you have a workaround in mind if this is not possible?

Random flash button
I have 4 led pars, and I want to make them all be say at 50 % brightness, then I want one of them to flash and fade back to 50% when I hit a button in virtual console. It should always be a random fixture, but never the same one twice in a row. RGB Matrix set to "random single" seems very close, but I haven't found a way how to set up a button/speed dial to the virtual console that makes an RGB Matrix to advance to the next step and hold it until I press the button again. Tap tempo doesn't work because the tempo changes a lot within the songs and I also want to program more complex rhythms.
