Upgrade from 4.12.4 to 4.14.1 loses all data

I upgraded a church from (Windos 10 Pro) 4.12.4 to the 4.14.1 version. When I launched 14.4.1 it didn't show any fixtures, scenes, or anything, even though I opened up a previous project file. I had to downgrade back to 4.12.4 to be able to get all the files back. Any ideas? Is there a file conversion that needs to be done?

This is odd because many users migrated to the latest version without any reports on that matter.
The only thing I can come up with is that the end of your show file somehow got broken.
Where do your files reside? In the c:\QLC+ directory or somewhere else? When upgrading, you need to keep the exact location. (Uninstall with the installer, install under administrator rights in the same directory as before and you should be good to go.)
There is no need for a file conversion.
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
