I've been starting to use QLC+ to replace the old DasLight software being used by my church. I love how it is much more customizable and the clean layout is a welcome sight.
There's a couple features that I think would make QLC+ much more useful. I'm not a developer, so I won't presume to know whether these are do-able or how hard would it be to implement.
1) On the Simple Desk interface, would it be possible to have a button so that only assigned channels are displayed rather than all the channels? This was a very useful feature in the DasLight software. We only use about 40-50 channels, and it would be nice if we didn't have to flip as many pages to get to all the fixtures.
2) On the Simple Desk interface, would it be possible to add an option to hide the playback faders and replace them with more channel faders? We don't use the playback faders much, and it'd be nice to get all our channel faders on one interface.
3) On the Virtual Console interface, would it be possible to set default values for the widgets? I looked through the properties and wasn't able to find it. We usually have a fade dial set to 2.5s, but after closing/re-opening the program it gets reset back to 0. This is a minor annoyance for the light operators, but it would be a nice feature to have.
Thanks.
Ideas/Suggestions for SimpleDesk interface and Virtual Console widgets
1 yes
2 better like the attached ?
3 do you mean saved into the project or a QLC+ global setting?

1 - I've attached images of how Daslight does it. The circled button toggles whether all the channels are shown or only the channels assigned to a fixture are shown.
2 - Well, I already get that space by moving the divider for the cue list all the way to the right and increasing the # of sliders in the Windows registry.
I was thinking of replacing the playback section with another row of channel sliders since we don't use the playback section (or the cue list) much. However, I understand that you can't make a setup cater just to one person.
I think the feature described in #1 would help us greatly if #2 is too specific to my needs.
3 - It would be saved in the project, not QLC+ global. Default values for virtual console widgets. I think it would fit under the Input tab of the Speed Dial widget properties and the Level tab of the slider widget properties.
