Version 5 seems to be a way away yet and I think to alleviate some pain points with v4 it could be beneficial to have a generic scripting feature such as the RGB scripts, but allow us to pass in arbitrary channels.
For example, if I wanted to control the RGBAW colorspace, I could pass those channels off to the script and let the script run its magic.
But let's not stop with RGBAW, I could also pass PTZ channels and control a moving fixture from a script.
Scripts would have to be a lot more specialized for each show, but would allow for a lot of flexibility and feature-add to hold us over until v5 is ready for production use.
