Hello I am very interested in setting up a Pi with QLC.
But I have many open questions and a very specific hardware setup which I am not sure will work properly.
Is there a demo version of the Pi Image which could be limited in, let’s say the number of DMX channels that can be used(1-5 to see if it outputs at all via Artnet), but has otherwise the full functionality so that I could test it before buying?
I know that there are free versions for Windows etc, but I have GPIO inputs for example which needs to be tested on the PI.
Thank you for your work so far.

Hi, I think this has been asked a while ago.
The answer I'm afraid is no.
The effort to setup and maintain a demo version is not a goal of this project.
You can build QLC+ on the Raspberry Pi free of charge by following the instructions on GitHub.

The cost is inexpensive also.

Okay, understandable.
I would like to ask some more questions before buying the Raspiversion.
Is this a software that is installed on top at an OS or do I just install qlc?
Is the upgrade to Version 5 included or just V4?
Do I get a Pi specific image or are there versions for all pi boards inklusive?
Thank you for your help.

These are not authoritative answers, as I don't use the raspi image now. I checked the manual for the image.
Also check http://www.qlcplus.org/discover/raspberry-pi

Nevertheless:

The image is a complete customized install of Raspbian + QLC+. You burn it to SD card
and start raspi with no additional actions (except maybe editing some config file).
QLC+ deb package for arm is also provided.

Most probably V4 only. You get access to newer images as they are released.
After donating, any future update will be provided automatically and free of charge.
