Hi everyone,

I got a few Elation SIX PAR Z19 IP, and I'm trying to create a QFX.

I've done the best I can here 😅

Can someone please answer my questions and check that I've done everything currectly?

1) I set the "type" as "other", as I haven't seen "LED".
2) The Lumens I put are: "13,240". This number is specifically for all lights together @ 3m, 5 degrees. Don't know if that's what I should have done...
3) I'm getting those errors. I'm guessing that it's because I didn't configure "heads"?
I haven't found in the user guide of the fixture any mention of the heads 😬
Any clue about how can I know how many heads are they, and how to configure them?

1) For multicolor LED PARs etc. I usually choose "Color changer" as fixture type

2) I wouldn't loose hair about a wrong lumen number... the fixture validator doesn't complain if it's missing, and I'm not sure if or how QLC makes use of that info at all.

3) That's not because of missing heads definitions. Heads are used if your light has more than one group of light sources that can act independently (like sections in a LED Bar)
The reason is that you filled in the "Acts on" field for each mode, in the mode editor. This has been introduced a while ago, and the documentation mentions:
The "Acts on" column is used to bind a channel to another. For example a channel that controls the speed of a rotating gobo.
I don't know why everyone thinks they have to set this to the same channel, just leave it unset. This misunderstanding comes up with almost every other definition posted here, recently... I don't know how we could make it more obvious to not touch that parameter unless needed.

If I may suggest, you can just add "(optional) by the "Acts on", which will make everything clearer :)

Now the QFX passed the validator and should be ready to go.

An other example for "Acts On" could be: Program Speed acts on Program Macros (Channel 13 acts on channel 12) .

You can change it if you also Change:
- your Fixture Type to Color Changer (it is mainly how it looks in the Fixture Editor)
- "Sutter" to "Shutter"" :( :shock: :D

An issue I'm having with the fixture: I set all the Z19 fixtures to "Strobbing: 255" (which means no strobbing, just steady light), but on the QLC monitor, it shows that the Z19 are blinking for some reason 🤔

Anyone have any idea why?

Any idea why the Z19's are still blinking (on the QLC monitor) when strobing is on 255 (255 is configured as "lamp on"?
