palettes with different values for each fixture

Now a pallette stores the same attribute value for all the fixtures,
it would help immensely if they could store appropriate values for each fixture.
eg. one could prepare a "performer" position pallette to use in several scenes, when he goes on tour (or even during the production if the performer change position) he will update this pallette and all the linked scenes will update consequently.
Another frequent problem that can be easily addressed with a more flexible pallette system is that often the same fixtures do not have equal zoom or colors, so a "correction" pallette would fix it without the need to edit manually all the scenes.
Sometimes I've done it with the loopback channels but it will be simpler with the pallettes.
I haven't read all this old post, today a flexible pallette system is a standard.

(today a palette even can hold a selection, an instruction how a selection should be divided, very powerful but complex stuff. GMa3 v1.8.8)

A partial alternative solution if this request is too complex:
channel modifiers are not still implemented yet, could it be possible to improve them with "offset" values?
eg. pan and tilt
one could correct a not precise rigging or a mechanical differences between fixtures, it's not the same as a good palette system but it would help already a lot, maybe it could be used also for color and beam uniformity.

In any case an efficient palette system would be the goal.
cheers

+1 for an offset (positive and negative) in pan and tilt positions.
All functions run as known, only just before outputting values, the offset should be considered.
Ideally, we'd need visual feedback that offsets are in place for the novice user - his circle will not go completely around if it touches the physical stop of f.i. tilt and his EFX still continues way past the stop because of an offset.

Yesterday we played again a show made with v5 and of course the rigging was different from the original venue, we could have saved a good amount of time with an offset applied to the recorded positions.
I guess this feature could be easily implemented, it would be an important one.

This request has never been answered but it's too fundamental, so hopefully here an easier alternative for the developers:
what if a palette can be applied to only a group of fixtures inside the function?
This would be a workaround for this useful feature, if palettes with different values are not an option, maybe we can have palettes for groups.

Meaning that we can use multiple palettes of the same type - but for different fixtures - inside one cue, it would open new interesting workflows:
eg. some fixtures have a tilt of 30° and other 60° >> one cue with 2 position palettes
in the next cue we could invert the palettes assignment and we've got already a swing effect.
Then we can always change these palettes tilt parameters to adjust it, or change them to a pan... or updating the show during on a tour.
Same benefit for colors, it would be very quick to program and edit color chasers with this combined palettes system.

Together with this "group scene" request, that seems to be already feasible, it would be an important improvement for v5

And to stress it again, to use this feature it's necessary to have an offset modifier, otherwise the fixtures will never be aligned

Have a good evening!

After testing this idea, it seem that the palettes are read following the order in the scene:
in fact it's already possible to add 2 or more palettes of the same attribute in v5 and the last one in the order it's applied.

File used for test here, I've mixed both colors and positions, you can try by yourself to add/remove fixtures to a group, change/add palettes to a scene.

In Function Manager, when editing a scene, the palettes are placed by the insertion order, while the groups fall always in the beginning of the list,
now my question:
could it be an option that by moving these items in the scene list we could determine what palette is affecting a group?
I'm sure it's not so easy but it can be already a good starting point, this feature would be a great update for v5.
Thanks in advance for any explanation.
