No Fixtures in Library

Just installed QLC+ 4.12.5 on Win 10 Pro. Was watching the intro tutorials and when I click on the + icon to access the fixture library, nothing happens. I checked in the QSC+ folder on the C Drive and I see all the fixtures in the Library folder, however, I did notice if I try to import a fixture (from the existing library on the C drive) QLC+ is looking for a .qxfl file...but the fixtures in the Library folder on the C Drive are only .qxf files....Am I missing something? Apologies if this is a super noob question...

But you claim to try to import a fixture... how do you do that?
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
