Hello, and hope all is well.
I have 3 questions about Artnet.
I'm running version 4.11.2 on a Lenovo Thinkpad t560 (Windows 10 Pro), Artnet over WiFi to a DMXking eDMX1 Pro.
First question: Why does the IP address change upon different gigs?
Second question: Is there a way to delete the unused IP addresses shown in the Input/Output manager?
Third question: Is the IP address that gets checked for the WiFi router or the eDMX1 Pro?
Photo attached. Thanks for any help.

If you are not connected to a network (or there is no DHCP server), Windows defaults to these 169.254.x.x addresses.NiteLites1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 8:43 pm First question: Why does the IP address change upon different gigs?
note: The set network address of 192.168.1.131 is a fixed address bound to one of your network adapters. To find out start a command box by pressing [win]+[R], typ in 'CMD' + [enter], now a dos box appears. In the box typ in the command 'ipconfig /all' and you will find the adapter bound to the 1.131 adress.
No, because they are 'given' by WIndows and if you don't want to see them you will have to disable the network-interface.NiteLites1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 8:43 pm Second question: Is there a way to delete the unused IP addresses shown in the Input/Output manager?
Ambiguous question... IF there is a DHCP server (inside your wifi-router), it might be that that is your assigned IP-address. But you are still uncertain about the address the DHCP assigns to the eDMX1 Pro. To be sure, you need access to the wifi-router and check who gets what address. This is almost impossible on foreign networks (not your venue).NiteLites1 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 8:43 pm Third question: Is the IP address that gets checked for the WiFi router or the eDMX1 Pro?
IF not, the given addresses will be random and then you are not sure which address is ticked.
QLC+ will never tick the box where your eDMX interface resides.
So ... network 101 -> To be sure everything works, every time, the only real solution will be to set fixed IP-addresses. To be Artnet compliant, they will have to be in the 2.x.x.x or 10.x.x.x MASK 255.0.0.0 segment. Therefore you will have to change Windows network settings (and the eDMX1 Pro).

Thanks for the reply. Very helpful.
Not a big deal to check IPs until I get a DMX signal going through. It's always one of them. Just wanted to take out the guesswork.
