since I have updated from 4.12.2 to 4.12.4, the X/Y controlers on the virtual desk are not more squares, but look like attached png.
Is this yet known?

Same effct with 4.12.3 and 4.12.4 GIT. I have tested this as well on my (production) Laptop (cinnamon 19.3)as on my Desktop (cinnamon Ulyana)

I wasn't aware of that, as I haven't used the XY Pad in a while (since Nov. 2018 to be precise), but I confirm the issue, I see the same here on my laptop running almost current GIT, under KDE Plasma. The pad area uses the upper half of the widget, while previously it filled all of it and shrunk only when adding user buttons, IIRC.
