with the major version on the horizon, what would you think about updating the RGB matrix interface from definining a start and a stop color and pushing the calculated color to the RGBscrips
towards
defining an array of colors and pushing the color array and the calculated rgb value to the scripts?
This would allow the scripts to distinguish if they want to use the calculated value or the start (index 0) and stop (index 1) color directly and it would offload the fixed color array (as in plasma.js) to have the colors directly and fine-granular controllable (e.g. on the virtual console). The scripts could still have the setting to allow 0, 1 or 2 colors - and more (like 5 for plasma). the scripts then could make use of the color array and the steps to directly calculate the color pattern to their needs and still use the good color selection on the virtual console.
