Hello!

I have a good old Terratec 6Fire PCI Soundcard with a Frontpanel. My OS is Linux Mint 19.2 x64. The Soundcard itself works perfectly. All Inputs and Outputs are fine in Mixxx and Kodi.

But if I lounch QLC 4.12.2 and go to the Input/Output section, the MIDI ports on the 6Fire Front Panel are recognized and listed properly in the Assignment Tab but only "Default Device" is listed in the Audio Tab. The default device is the Onboard AC97 which is unused in my setup. Therefore the Level Monitor in the Audio Tab shows pure Silence.

How can I get the 6Fire PCM Input working as Input Device in QLC+?

Thanks and Greets

Hi, I think it needs to be visible by ALSA.
Can you try alsamixer and see if it lists the device endpoints?

Hello again!

I tried Alsamixer 1.1.3 - it shows three soundcards: HDA Intel HDMI, HDA Intel PCM and Terratec DMX6Fire. In exact this order. When I select the 6fire, so i can crawl through all the I/Os on the Frontpanel, on the Backpanel and on the Card itself (internal). So i think i could say: Yes, Alsamixer works with the 6fire.
