Issues with auto programs

Hello,
I am trying to program Chauvet FXpar 3, a par light that includes SMD LEDs
I am using a DMXKing ultradmxmicro dongle
Some of the scenes that I have include the RGB SMD lights being on a certain color. If the second scene in the chase has the SMDs set to the color "blue," it first has to run through the "red" and "green." It doesn't immediately change to "blue."
Does anyone know a way to work through this? Is it something with the fixture definition, dongle, or is it just how the light operates?
