Here we are - open fixture library extending (;
  • Chauvet DJ GigBAR 2 (Flo Edelmann - Open Fixture Library) This fixture still has two errors in the validator which cannot be fixed imo: The "White Strobe Dimmer" channel is indeed an intensity channel, but obviously only working when strobing (see manual). So the intensity type is correct, it should not be of type shutter
  • American DJ Boom Box Fx2 (Felix Edelmann - Open Fixture Library)
  • Showtec Dominator (Felix Edelmann - Open Fixture Library)

The two last of them are mine (Felix Edelmann) ;)

Thanks for posting here :)

Oh, sorry - I just saw OFL and Edelmann and didn't know there is another one in the crew!
I corrected it, thanks for the hint and sorry again!

Hey Massimo,
today I'll have a bunch of new fixtures for you. But first, I have a question for you since it arose twice now for the second time:
What about fixtures, which support endless Pan/Tilt?

So far this was the case for the following fixtures:
viewtopic.php?p=49630
viewtopic.php?p=50213

As Flo stated in the last thread, a possible solution could be to adapt the fixture definition scheme. In addition to that, the fixture validator should be updated.

Until this is solved, I won't submit these fixtures for adding them to QLC+ but will keep track of them in this post.

Greetings!
Lukas

Okay, actually there were just 2 new ones - the others are Chinese or very incomplete.

Quite some time has passed since the last update - so here comes the next one (since I've heard you're about to release 4.11.2 I hurried up a bit)!
This is what you call a chinese fixture, right? http://www.qlcplus.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 519#p51519

Very sorry Lukas !
I totally missed the latest updates to this thread :(
I have committed the new definitions with the new format.

Hey Massimo,

I was very busy the last weeks but will have some spare time till September. So I thought about gathering latest complete definitions.
Since I did not follow the complete fixture definition rework process: Is there already a fixture validator for the new format? How can I convert fixtures to the new format and edit fixture definitions of new format? Do I have to use the QLC+5 fixture definition editor?
Or should I simply add the fixtures in the current format?

Lukas

An online version no, offline yes. There is a python script in resources/fixtures/scripts called fixtures-tool.py. Launch it with --validate on a path.

With the fixture definition editor. If you can either build from sources or use the latest test version.
siegmund wrote: Do I have to use the QLC+5 fixture definition editor?
There is no such editor.
siegmund wrote: Or should I simply add the fixtures in the current format?
That is an option. I'll review the files anyway.

[EDIT] a good example between old and new syntax is Stairville BS-280 R10 BeamSpot that I just committed.
Old was here: http://www.qlcplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12234

@Massimo,

Does it make sense to already upload 'my' adopted (v 4.11.120) fixture definitions?
Question comes from my idea that the aliases don't work yet??
(And IMHO the copy & paste possibility in the new physical tab doesn't make sense here now? (Or to copy from global to per-mode-physical tab?))

Anyway ... updated fixture definitions see annex

What is 4.11.120 ??
Until 4.12.0 is released, you need to use the "old" fixture definition format.
Otherwise, start using 4.12.0 test builds and provide feedbacks.

For the record, where do the files in the RAR archive come from ?
They don't seem to be definitions requested in this forum area, nor they meet the meaning of this thread.
So why didn't you submit them in the fixture definition area like everybody else ?
