ART-net support on ESP8266

Hi there!

I built a light setup for our local hackerspace metalab.at

Part of it is the BLINKENTUNNEL [0], an artsy installation device that is composed of 18 ACRYLIC tubes.
The tubes are filled with slightly roughened acrylic rods and there are addressable RGB leds on each side of the rods.
We built that 7 years ago and these days it was time to replace the leds (back than we used shiftbrites and an arduino 168)

So yesterday i replaced the leds with addressable WS2801 12mm pixel modules that i had here and replaced the arduino with a custom made board featuring an ESP8266 [1].

The setup is controlled with QLC+
We used a matrix fixture to address the 2x18 leds and the effects that are possible now are by FAR more impressive than the handcoded blinkies i did some years ago.

You can grep a nodeMCU baord or something simlar and flash the code from github [2] yourself.
Of course it is all open source and i am happy to share my work.

If you are interested in getting a super small ART-net node i might be able to offer the blinkybuttons for sale.
I am just not sure if this is of interest to anyone besides myself :)
