Very low FPS in 3D

I am getting a very low FPS in the 1 to 2 range in 3D. It on my IMAC Intel version. Is there away to improve the frame rate?

Intel iris cards on macOS perform really poorly
You can lower the rendering quality in QLC+ but that won't solve the hardware/graphics stack issues underneath
