Hi,

I'm new to all of this.

I got a cheap Chromateq USB DMX512 Stand Alone Device.

When I run QLC+ and go to inputs/Outputs it isn't in the list. No USB devices are.

What do I need to do to get it to recognise it please?

Thanks,
Ian.

Can you post details of your setup OS, QLC+ version, a manual or specifications of the Chromateq USB DMX512 Stand Alone Device?.

The adapter home is here: https://chromateq.com/club128-512/
The specs: https://filedownload.chromateq.com/Data ... 28-512.pdf

looks like the Stairville DMX Joker V2 512 Box: https://www.thomann.de/gb/stairville_dm ... 12_box.htm

supposed to run under the dmx joker Software
https://chromateq.com/softwares/
https://dmxplayer.com/stairville

There ist a SDK: https://chromateq.com/sdk/

Is there a comparison between qlc+ and 'dmx joker' software. I do not have an adapter yet?

The word "standalone" made my bell ring ... it's propriety and looking at the manual, it simply doesn't make any sense, unless you hook up to 4 devices onto a USB-hub and ??? I didn't look any further.
I don't think you can use this device as a general DMX interface. Only to be used with their software.
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
