I'm playing around with some diy midi encoders, with the aim of using them for pan/tilt control. I've got an arduino micro with a couple of rotary encoders attached, sending a MIDI control change value of 127 for clockwise, and 1 for anti-clockwise.

The MIDI gets into QLC+ fine, and I've made a test profile defining the encoders. When I attach an encoder as external input to a VC fader, the value will not go down to 0 - it flickers around between 1 and 3. At the other end of the range, the fader will happily go to full and stay there.

On a related note - it seems to be impossible to use an encoder as an external input for pan or tilt on an XY pad - I can attach the encoder, but it has no effect on the Pan or Tilt channels.

Tested on QLC+ 4.12.1 / windows 10 & QLC+ 4.11.2 Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS

I am running into the same issue, also, my encoders appear to affect the level inversely. I have to rotate clockwise to decrease and vise versa.

I used MidiView and I am getting values of 1 and 127 correctly.
