I have an old old old ADJ Pocket Scan I'm fixing up. It runs a EFR 15V - 150W halogen as the light source. Has anyone found and MR16 replacement lamps that are LED based that would provide more than 150 watts?

My thinking is cooling would be no issue. No way an LED based MR16 would create more heat than this 150W halogen lamp. Fan would be fine..... I just can't seem to find and super bright MR16 (15ish volt) replacements lamps that are equivalent to 200W....300W...500W... halogen. The MR16 LED lamps I see out there are for home track lighting replacements and low output.

Has anyone seen a source for really bright "projector' style MR16 lamps that would work in some of these old lights?

Thanks

A LED replacement can be done, but you need to do a bit more than just replacing a lamp. :) ;)

Then please take some more time to read (again?) the description of the community forum:
