hello i have a problem but i cant find the problem what tricker the software to crash
i found in window 10 log system this log about qlc
but i cant find with the help of our best friend Google the problem
i have also try the log version of qlc it self but the file is still empty
i run version 4.12.4

There were reports of some crashes in 4.12.4
Please try latest test version viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3135
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

The times is different when it crash. Its crash when we use qlc and also crash at Thimes when nobosy use it.

But now QLC+ starts right?
Does it crash while doing a show?
The log shows that the engine is crashing.

yes this is while i run in show mode
is it possible that it comes by using gif in the rgb matrix

That might be the case. What do you do with the gif? And how big is it?
As people are not aware of the binary size of things no more, sometimes a small looking thing eats up 4Mb in size... And since we are using only some pixels - yes you guessed it right: too much overhead.

i have checked the file size of the gif and those are not bigger then 40kb.
since I have update the software I get now a log file and when it crashed it says
[Universe] HTP check not passed 52 0
I know what htp does but why universe

I cannot answer to the fault code, but everything runs inside its universe. (look at input-output tab)

I also had a crash. My operator had just click Next in a chase. It was step 25 in the chase, which is a simple Show cue with 2 tracks. Track 1 is an audio file Track 2 is a lighting sequence with 3 steps.

hello i have trouble shoot many thing i dont use gif file anymore
and software is also bucky

al my resources are under 40% cpu and 50% ram 8gb it is not termal troteling

is it posible that the softwarre is locker at some gb of ram its is not peaking and constantly stable

We ran the same show last night, but restarted the laptop just before opening the house. There were no problems. I will continue doing that for the remainder of the run of this play.

The day the crash occurred, I had the laptop (Dell Latitude D630) running for several hours prior to the show, editing various Shows and Chases, and testing them. It was the application that crashed. The laptop continued to run. There were no other foreground applications running. The laptop was not online at the time of the crash, though it had been earlier.

There's nothing special about this QWX. Enttec OpenDMX, 12 generic dimmers, 2 Mega PAR Profile Plus, 1 loop back, only used to fade Preshow and Intermission music (not engaged when the crash occurred), four scenes used in main Chase (Preshow, Intermission, Blackout & General Wash) and 13 Shows. There are several functions defined, which are not used. 8 sound cue buttons on the desktop.

Experiencing similar issue on desktop w10 x64. Freshly installed QLC+ 4.12.5, opening a certain showfile always gives me a C:\QLC+\qlcplusengine.dll crash. The same showfile on a laptop running the same QLC version and same Windows version never crashes.

Got the very same experience with 4.12.6 and .5. When opening a specific showfile qlcplus crash.

I first gave qlcplus5 a try and uninstalled it on the same computer, not sure it can be linked.

Sooo, after a few more tests / uninstall / cleaning in registry, I finally decided to edit my show file by hand, and removing the input plugin blocks (had one midi input, one dmx output and one midi feedback) did the trick. These devices are not connected to the computer I'm working with atm. Hope it can help
