RGB Matrix patterns: is it possible to set length of the entire loop and not for just each step?

Some of the patterns of the RGB Matrix tool are looped (for example "Fill"), and I want to control the length of that loop. But the Speed/Tap dial only controls the duration of each step. Is it possible to control the duration of the entire loop instead? Like for example having a pattern loop one time per beat tap.

This would need a single loop function, but wait! This is already possible.
Put your matrix inside a chaser with one step, set to single, set duration, and problem fixed?
With the Speed Dial on VC, you can influence the duration of that step inside the chaser.

When I want more contol over the RGB matrix I find it easiest to export it to a sequence, and edit that further - you can adjust fade and hold times and alter the contents of each individual step there.
