I'm on an Acer Windows 10 x64 laptop with 16gb of RAM

I set up a Chase with 4 videos in it, all MP4. Video lengths:
19m25s845ms
1920x1080
Datarate 3554kbps
Framerate 23.98

11m29s522ms
3840x2160
Datarate 6933kbps
Framerate 23.98

12m30s912ms
3840x1766
Datarate 34763kbps
Framerate 23.98

15m21s962ms
3840x2160
Datarate 46762kbps
Framerate 23.98

There is a 3 second blackout between each video.

I'm currently using the Windows 10 Codec Pack v2.2.0

The first 3 videos play fine, and the third started off fine, but after approximately 10 minutes, the video stopped playing.

There are no errors in any of the Windows event logs.

I have previously used the K-Lite codecs. The problem exhibits differently. That will play all videos, until the problem arises, then it won't display the next video.

The problem does not seem to be directly associated with the length of a video, as I can play a 2+ hour movie, without a problem.

If I had to guess, I think QLC+ isn't releasing resources after a video is played. I say the because the LAV icons remain in the system tray, until QLC+ is shutdown.

I won't have time to test any further until after the weekend. I have 6 more shows to run between now and Monday evening.

A process monitor will show you what is not being released. You could use the 'kill' instruction with the corresponding PID as a temporary workaround...
