Allright! I thought, it's already widely known…
ProjectM is an cross-platform and opensource implementation of the milkdrop plugin of the ancient winamp. You would probably call this a "music-visualizer". It's compatible with milkdrop presets, there are loads of presets out there!
I thought, this could be a great addition to QLC+ for show-jockeys… Maybe a bit like Nest-Drop https://nestimmersion.ca/nestdrop.php
Development for ProjectM is taking place on https://github.com/projectM-visualizer/projectm
ProjectM is also found in various music players and media centers (like kodi). Although milkdrop is some years old, it's still fun to watch, especially on parties…
They have a discord channel where developers and users meet… (URL must be found in a Readme-file, I guess.)
