Strange behaviour in passthrough mode

Hello, I experienced this:

In passthrough mode, I try to transform midi note velocity values to dmx values. I do not want the dmx values to reset (jump back to 0) at every new midi note (for the same dmx channel), so I am filtering out midi note-off messages, that is QLC+ receives only the note-on messages.
Still, at every new note, the dmx monitor shows that the dmx value jumps back to 0 for a fraction of time before the new dmx value (according to the new midi note's velocity) is sent out. (Windows environment, midi is coming through LoopBe1.)

Any idea why this happens? (Is it possible to get rid of that behaviour somehow?)
