In the virtual console, I designed a layout that would not be super bright when the house lights are down by specifying a darker neutral background instead of bright white. When I run in Kiosk Mode, the background is not displayed and so the bright white background defeats my goal of a subtle display.
Design Mode
Kiosk Mode
Running on Redhat.
Kiosk Mode does not display background colour

Thank you for the correction. I was, from within QLC+, quite unable to find a standard 'about' box with software versioning information. Lots of help topics, but I failed to find an 'about'.
Now that it's in the proper forum... Is this a bug?

Just tested on Linux. There's no issue. Kiosk mode is consistent with design mode.

Guess you mean Fedora 29...
Which DE in use ? Gnome ?
KDE seems to work as expected.
