qlcplus-qml.exe ha smesso di funzionare at start-

I think QLC+ is way too polite ...

Please show a screenshot of your 'invitation' to close...
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

And again, nobody says where they installed QLC+ 5.

DO NOT install it in the same folder of QLC+ 4 !

And by the way, Windows 7 received THREE service packs. Staying on SP1 is like opening every door to every possible malware on the internet.
[EDIT] srorry, my last statement is not true. SP1 is actually the latest for Windows 7.
