Would anyone know what make this bar is? I have very little control when loading the Chauvet 4Bar or 4Bar Tri.
There are no markings on the make and model. Different kinda foot switch as well.

I don't think it's a Chauvet 4 bar (or 4 bar tri, or mini 4 bar, or corebar), all Chauvet models have footswitches with 2 or 3 pedals.

It seems like a chinese copy of Chauvet, I found some models with similar footswitches on Aliexpress (falsely advertised as Chauvet). I could not find the maker or any manual. Your best luck if it came with a manual and DMX specifications.

Thanks For your time. Even if I had the manuals I wouldn't have a clue how to program. But I'll check out what you posted.

I wish I knew how to program this thing. I have found that it has 13 channels so I have this POS set to 13 channels addressed as 1.
So I pick different fixtures in the extended list of fixtures and get some control. So I'm making progress (some what)
Gonna keep poking at it. LOL!
Thanks for your time.

PEACE!!!

If you have a manual and you can send me a picture of the page with the dmx settings, I could program it for you with the fixture manager. Otherwise you will have to find out by trial and error. You probably have one channel for each red-green-blue (possibly for each of the 4 lights), one for intensity, one of stobe effects. If you never used qlc before this might be hard to figure, but if you did use some other light you might try by trial and error in the simple desk.

I have made progress. Using your links to the fixtures, the channels they have is 13 (according to what I read) and the fixture only has 2 options 3 or 13.
3 each for RGB like you suggest for each light leaving 1 for brightness which it gives some strobe. So after picking and choosing fixture after fixture
the best one I found was Chauvet 4 bar. So for now at least I can pick colors for our next show. That beats a poke in the eye. lol
I did contact the ebay fixture seller. Of course I didn't purchase it from them so they are reluctant to give me a manual. But I havn't given up yet.

Thanks so much for your time. You've been very helpful.

More importantly I have another post out here for a new Chauvet fixture which is really cool.
I'm hoping someone would take time to do some programming. I've looked at the fixture manager but really have no clue. Is it as simple as copying
what each channel is suppose to do from the manual and putting that same info in the fixture manager?
I've come a long long way to when I first started using QLC+ due to help from this sight. THANKS SO MUCH!!

Hi tuck

Yes, the fixture editor is really simple. You just copy the dmx settings from the manual.

For the unknown bar you have, you could easily create a definition.

Open the fixture editor. Enter something for Manufacturer/Model. Go to channels, add channels one by one (probably 13 for your device). Since you have no manual, you will have to test yourself (using the simple desk in QLC) what each channel does. If channel 1 controls the red color in spot #1, simply name it "Red spot 1" or something, then chose intensity and red in the colour group. Usually color channels control one of RGB colors, from 0 to 100%. You can open the Chauvet 4 bar .qxf file in the editor and see how it works and derivate your thing from there.

Good luck

Here is a video by Massimo on how to create a fixture definition in the fixture editor:

It's very simple and intuitive.

Hey Jungle Jim

Thanks for all your help. It's been fun as hell getting all this stuff programed. Wouldn't be able to do any of it with out peeps like you.
Greatly appreciated!! I have a question if you get time. I'm programming another fixture. With your link on fixture editor I'm taking it on myself.
I'm doing the 4 channel version but there's 2 different functions per channel. The manual says 4 or 256 channels. Should I split these up?
Maybe make it 8 Channels? (even though it states 4 or 256) Attached a picture of the DMX values.
I think I got this.....as long as she don't jump. I have already programed 4 channels so we'll see : )
Whats your thoughts on this?

Thanks So Much!!

No need to, this fixture is already available in the Open Fixture Library:

open-fixture-library.org/american-dj/revo-4-ir

You can download the .qfx fixture definition file from there.
Have a look at the Open Fixture Library! It's a project to collect fixture definitions in a unified format and make them downloadable for different lighting programs, including QLC+ 4 and QLC+ 5.
