Help requested for audio input

I'm running QLC+ 4.10.3a on a Win7 box, and am coming up with some difficulties getting audio from a different media playing and sequencing program on this computer to be recognized by QLC+ I am seeing all expected audio inputs on the inputs/outputs audio tab (i.e. line in, rec. playback, microphone, etc.), but I have not found a way to actually link any of the audio inputs to a specific universe. I am successful in getting QLC+ to output DMX signals to my fixtures using an UltraXMX micro interface, but haven't gotten the audio figured out to feed to an audio trigger widget on my virtual console. Even when playing an audio/video file in a show wasn't successful in getting any audio to the audio trigger widget either.

If anyone is familiar with how to do this, I'd sure appreciate some pointers on what I may be missing in the inputs/outputs configuration. Feel free to contact me with a private message if you'd like.
