I'm trying to create a fixture definition for a Chauvet Scorpion Dual laser.

I want to include the laser patterns and was trying to submit them as gobos. I grabbed the patterns from the manual and created 64x64 PNG files which I'm able to select in the fixture editor.

When I run the validator, it says:

ERROR: channel <Pattern Selection> has absolute resource paths (e.g. custom Gobo not allowed)

What is the correct way to include these pattern files?

Is Gobo the best way to include these in a fixture definition?

Fixture definition with pattern files attached.

Thanks!

Alan

I have always been reluctant to add laser gobos to QLC+
They're a lot and every laser has different patterns. If we start adding all of them, QLC+ will notably increase in size.

I would say for now just submit the fixture without gobo references (you can always use them in your PC) and in the end you shared them here, so other people might benefit from it.

Thanks Massimo!

I'm trying to figure out how to remove the custom gobo images from the fixture definition.

Is there some way to accomplish this without having to re-create all of the capabilities?

Thanks!

I figured out that the fixture definition file is just XML, so I was able to edit out the pattern references.
