Show Editor Tutorial

Hello all,
does anyone know of a tutorial for the show editor? I want to create timed light shows based on music tracks. I am totally lost at how to get it to work.
I can add the music, then I can add a scene, but then if I add the same scene again, it does not work. Only the first instance works.
And is it possible to have more than one scene on the same line? Otherwise if I have a lot of sequences in one song, I'll end up with a huge long list to scroll through instead of having it all on one time line.
Anyway, I am probably making no sense at all so if anyone can point me to a tutorial for the Show editor, that would be great.
