I am working as an amateur light technician in an amateur theater. We are performing in different theaters in the area. The problem is, that every theater has a different control table and it is difficult to be able to master all of them. So I built my own usb-dmx device (I am an electronics engineer) and it's working with qlc+. Currently we are performing a show, for which I made a project in qlc+ for our home theater. What I am asking is, what is the best way to use a project in different theaters with different fixture layout. I know I can use fixture remapping in qlc+, but it is very hard to remember all addresses, since remapping window cannot be minimized while doing it. Does anyone have experience with similar problem, and how do you solve this? I would appreciate any advice.
