Traktor and QLC+ running on same Macbook(or laptop) at the same time?

has anyone tried this?
I was thinking of running both QLC+ and Traktor on the same 2.3GHz i7 8MB RAM 2012 MBP and controlling QLC+ from OSC or a MIDI controller.
I don't have any real work experience with this, though, and was wondering if anyone else out there has.

I think that is possible if traktor can send MIDI signal.
I used Ableton Live and QLC+ on the same MAC. Live send MIDI command to QLC+ and launch sequences on the virtual interface.

Ive done it with my late 2011 MBP. Haven't noticed any problems. Trying to figure out how to sync them with timecode or something

just to update,
i have used this set up successfully for a few years now.
i send a MIDI beat tick to the the QLC+ SpeedDial input from Traktor vis Traktor Virtual Output or the IAC Driver. then i can can have/double my chases based on the song beats.
