I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I can control my light using the Simple desk - ch1 slider.
But when I make a slider on the virtual console, it doesn't do anything.

So this is what I do:

Under Fixture I add a generic dimmer ch1 / universe 1.

Under Virtual Console - I add a slider - set properties to Level - name of Dimmer - Intensity 000-255.
I click the Play button. And try the slider - nothing.

What am I doing wrong?
thanks

Welcome to the forum!
With the simple desk you see the light turn on? If no, than the problem could be the output patch. You can try to set the output patch and use the dmx visualizer to see the output dmx values.

Red faders in Simple Desk override everything else. Push X button to release the fader.

Yes! clicking the x on the simple desk channel works.
