Using a second device running QLC+

Post by maxread » Fri Sep 08, 2017 10:07 am

Hi folks.
I have a PC running QLC+ in the control room but would like to be able to set up the scenes on a laptop in the studio next door. Is there a way to route a second device running QLC+ through the first device to share the DMX interface? It seems like there should be but I can't figure it  .

Thanks, Max.

Let say Universe 1 is the one you route to your actual output (i.e. DMX device).
Route input to that universe from scan or artnet and select passthrough.

On the second computer, route output to artnet on the first device.

Both machines must be on the same IP subnet, and you must select the same artnet universe (artnet universe is not necessarily equal to QLC+ universe,
i.e. you can route QLC+ universe 7 to artnet universe 3).
