Perhaps it would be usedfull to add kind of "snap" functionality to buttons, like
a keyboard that has a "capslock" functionallity:
normal operation: Flash, so pressing, say "f", flashes the function
"extended" behaviour: pressing, say "shift" + "f", the flashmode is temporary switch to on unless "f" is pressed again.
For sure, one can add two different buttons for that, but this way, one can save up space and shortcuts...
