So, I am actually working on a patch for some this ;-)

I'd like the ability to take a setup to a new venue ( with various scene's targeting spots on the stage ) .. and run through the
scene's and light sets to re-aim them as needed using just the controller. Having the flexibility of using a wireless controller would let the engineer move about the stage/front of house to see angles, position spikes and such.

This could be implemented via adding the ability to map application functions via the Virtual Console.

In a perfect world... on say an Xbox Controller:
- left joystick or option/start would move focus between scenes
- left trigger to select
- move to another scene to deselect
- bumpers would move focus between fixtures or fixture-groups in a scene
- left trigger to select
- bumper to deselect
- right joystick would move head
- DPad up/down to select intensity
- R/G/B buttons to select intensity of those colors, Y for White or Other (UV)
- DPad right/left to select effect/gobo
- triggers could be write .. with left being write request and the right being validation

I'd add the feature to designate a single light as the 'response' light which can flash to denote status:
- 1 flash scene selected or deselected, all fixtures come up to their setting
- 2 flashes fixture or fixture group selected, fixture/fixture-group comes up and rest go down
- 3 flashes for write query .. 3 flashes for write acknowledge
- long flashes for error requiring eng back at console.

We would also need something in the Input/Outputs Universe Profile that would allow translation of the controller positioning .. which has 128,128 as the center point vs 0,0.
